Federação muda Módulo II e não agrada Democrata
A competição terá doze clubes e começa no dia 17 de fevereiro 2018
Durante Conselho Técnico (reunião do Arbitral) realizado na última segunda-feira, 13, a Federação Mineira de Futebol (FMF) definiu uma nova fórmula para o Módulo II, o de acesso à 1ª Divisão do Campeonato Mineiro.
A competição terá doze clubes e começa no dia 17 de fevereiro. O Democrata propôs a regionalização, mas não obteve êxito.
Para o próximo ano, o Módulo II terá o seguinte formato: na primeira fase, os clubes jogarão entre si, em turno único, classificando-se para as semifinais as quatro melhores equipes.
Terão a vantagem de jogar seis jogos como mandantes os seis clubes com melhor índice técnico em 2017. Sendo assim, os dois rebaixados do Módulo II, América-TO e Tricordiano, e os quatro melhores classificados da edição passada do Módulo II, com exceção do último campeão e vice, Betinense, Nacional, Uberaba e Tupynambás.
Para as semifinais e final não será levado em consideração a classificação da equipe na etapa anterior como critério de desempate. O Módulo II será disputado na categoria sub-24 – atletas nascidos até 1994 – podendo cada equipe inscrever, no máximo, sete atletas com idade superior.
O presidente do Democrata, Jaime Ribeiro Aleluia, protestou contra a nova regra. “O ideial seria dividir os times em três chaves regionalizadas na fase inicial. Desta maneira, a economia com viagens seria muito grande. Fiz esta proposta no Conselho Técnico, mas fui voto vencido”, disse. O presidente também revelou ao SETE DIAS que o comando técnico do time foi mudado. “Contratamos o Gerson Evaristo, que tem grandes trabalhos em sua carreira”, disse. Também foi contrato o ex-jogador e também treinador João Carlos dos Santos como Diretor de Futebol.
Além do Democrata, vão disputar o Módulo II as seguintes equipes: América (Teófilo Otoni), CAP (Uberlândia), Tricordiano (Três Corações), Mamoré (Patos de Minas), Betinense (Betim), Guarani (Divinópolis), Ipatinga (Ipatinga), Nacional (Muriaé), Social (Coronel Fabriciano), Tupynambás (Juiz de Fora) e Uberaba (Uberaba).
